Reentry Coordinator
Corinne joined the team in 2026 as the Project’s Reentry Coordinator. In her role, Corinne is primarily responsible for addressing the needs of clients who are reentering back into their communities. Prior to joining the Project, Corinne was a Paralegal at the Abolitionist Law Center. There, she worked on direct representation and impact litigation cases. Additionally, Corrine worked as a Prison Support Specialist at the Institute for Community Justice where she provided case management and legal support services to people incarcerated in Philadelphia jails and state institutions.
Corinne is a graduate of Temple University where she earned a Master of Social Work. While in graduate school, Corinne worked at Temple’s Wellness Resource Center, interned at Prevention Point Philadelphia, and volunteered with the Coalition to Abolish Death by Incarceration (CADBI). Corinne is excited to learn from, get to know, and support clients as they navigate various stages of their reentry journeys.

Executive Assistant & Benefits Coordinator
Elizabeth is the Executive Assistant and Benefits Coordinator for the Project where she has been since 2025. She joins us after working as a Corporate Accounts Director for Jeffrey A. Miller Hospitality Group. Previously, Elizabeth gained experience working in development at Fidelity Charitable. There, she began familiarizing herself with grant work and learning what goes into varying aspects of the industry. Elizabeth attended the University of Pennsylvania where she majored in Religious Studies. Elizabeth’s varying interests and career path has afforded her the ability to make a valuable impact on the work done across all areas of the Project.

Intake Coordinator
Yvonne Carter was one of the first to join the Pennsylvania Innocence Project. Since 2009, she began her time at the Project coordinating all of the office functions.Yvonne now coordinates intake and oversees volunteers conducting initial reviews of cases. Before joining the Project, Yvonne worked as a Legal Secretary, first for a bankruptcy attorney, and later at the law firm of Pepper Hamilton LLP in Philadelphia. She is a graduate of the Community College of Philadelphia (AA) in Paralegal Studies.
Yvonne Y. Carter
Deputy Legal Director
Liz currently runs our Pittsburgh Office. Before joining us, she worked for a small non-profit organization that served at-risk children and families. As Director of Placement Services, she managed 10 direct-care caseworkers and 36 foster families. While working full-time, Liz attended law school in the evenings to earn her J.D. in 2010. Liz is a 2004 University of Pittsburgh (B.A.) and Duquesne University School of Law (J.D.) graduate. After law school, the Allegheny County Office of Conflict Counsel recruited Liz to develop new programs to ensure quality legal representation for court-involved youth.
There, she collaborated with community youth agencies, county government agencies, and court officials in developing a program model and mission. She was responsible for all policies, procedures, staff recruitment, and identifying and obtaining funding for the programs. As a result, the juvenile delinquency and juvenile dependency divisions of the Office of Conflict Counsel launched in the spring of 2011. Both programs have received praise and continue to grow and expand. After passing the Pennsylvania bar exam, Liz joined the Office of Conflict Counsel's adult trial unit where she represented adult criminal clients in varying cases. Most recently, Liz gained invaluable federal criminal trial experience through her work as a Research and Writing Attorney and Assistant Federal Defender for the Federal Defender's Office in the District of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Elizabeth DeLosa
Staff Attorney
Ryan came to the Project in 2025 as a Staff Attorney. Before joining the team, he served in the Office of Governor Phil Murphy, where he helped implement a historic clemency initiative grounded in categorical and objective criteria, resulting in more than 450 grants of clemency.
Ryan began his legal career as a public defender at the Defender Association of Philadelphia, where he represented thousands of clients at every stage of the criminal legal process. His advocacy combined robust litigation and motion practice with community-based partnerships, including participatory defense hubs, to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Ryan holds a Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School, a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Joseph’s University. He clerked for the Honorable Richard J. Geiger of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division.

Executive Director
Zane Memeger is the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, where he began work in June 2025.
Zane is an experienced legal mind with a deep understanding of the criminal justice system. Zane is a former US Attorney (Philadelphia) who joined the Project from Morgan Lewis where he was a partner in their litigation practice group focusing on government investigations and white-collar defense. Zane also maintained an active pro bono caseload at Morgan Lewis representing clients in affirmative litigation pursuant to the Federal Torts Claims Act. Before becoming US Attorney and a partner at Morgan Lewis, Zane was an Assistant US Attorney for more than 11 years where he investigated and tried cases involving organized crime, public corruption, government fraud, violent crime, and narcotics trafficking. With 18 years of law enforcement experience as a federal prosecutor, and more than a decade of experience working on issues related to wrongful convictions, Zane has a full appreciation of the dynamics in play that lead to innocent persons serving lengthy prison sentences for crimes they did not commit.
Before becoming Executive Director for the Project, Zane served on the Project’s board for eight years, where he was heavily involved in and chaired the Project’s Litigation and Policy Committee. Zane’s interest in innocence work began when he was a law student at the University of Virginia School of Law, where he led the law school’s Post-Conviction Assistance Project (P-CAP) as Litigation Director and Special Project Director.
Zane earned his bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in criminal justice from James Madison University, where he was a member of the varsity men’s gymnastics team.
Zane Memeger
Paralegal
As the Paralegal, Yahya assists both lawyers and staff in case management and project development. He joins the Project with first-hand experience dealing with wrongful convictions. Yahya spent 22 of his 27+ years wrongfully incarcerated studying law as he litigated his own case. Assisting his peers as they fought to prove their own claims of innocence, Yahya became a certified legal reference aid. Yahya began his bachelor's degree at Villanova University, and was able to become a facilitator for various programs throughout the correctional institution, including "Let's Circle Up,” a program rooted in restorative justice.
Yahya's journey has also allowed him to develop a passion for writing. He has incorporated his storytelling into a piece called The Diary of an Innocent Lifer, and he is co-author of The Little Book of Listening.
Yahya Moore
Director of Development
Sara joined the PA Innocence Project as Director of Development in 2022. With the development and communications team, she leads fundraising and resource development efforts in support of the work of the Project. Sara comes to this role with background in higher education and non-profit development. Before joining the Project, she served as an Assistant Director with advancement and extension units at Temple and Rutgers Universities. Sara led a team at Rutgers which designed strategies to help justice-involved and out-of-school youth and their families thrive, and to re-think how we prepare and support professionals working across youth-serving systems. Prior to that work, she held development roles with Mercy Learning Center and Person-to-Person, long-standing non-profit organizations with extensive reach serving vulnerable populations in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Throughout her career, Sara has exercised a passion for social justice and advocacy for people not well served by our traditional systems of education and justice. Sara earned her B.A. in English and Linguistics from Douglass College at Rutgers University.
Sara Nolan
Staff Attorney
Allison is a Staff Attorney based out of our Pittsburgh office. In this role, Allison supports our Deputy Legal Director in cases across Western PA. Prior to joining the Project, Allison was a Staff Attorney in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. There, she reviewed criminal and postconviction appeals and recommended dispositions to the court. Allison holds a Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Virginia Tech.

Legal Director
Nilam A. Sanghvi is the Legal Director of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, where she has worked since 2013. In this role, Nilam oversees all of the legal efforts of the organization, including identifying, investigating, and litigating cases of actual innocence and spearheading the Project's policy efforts focused on increasing access to the courts for the wrongfully convicted and preventing the convictions of innocent people. Before joining the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, Nilam was a supervising attorney and clinical teaching fellow in Georgetown University's Appellate Litigation Program. Nilam previously practiced law at firms in New York, Washington, DC, and Philadelphia, including as a partner in the litigation services department at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, where much of her practice focused on appellate work.
In addition to her work at the Project, Nilam teaches appellate advocacy at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. She also serves as the Secretary of the Third Circuit Bar Association, is a member of the Innocence Network’s Board of Directors, and is a co-founder of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation’s Board Observer Program. In 2021, Nilam received the Philadelphia Bar Foundation Award. She has also been named a Lawyer on the Fast Track by the Legal Intelligencer and received Schnader’s Earl G. Harrison Pro Bono Award.
Nilam earned her BA from Columbia University and a JD, with honors, and LLM in Advocacy from the Georgetown University Law Center. She clerked for the Honorable William B. Shubb in the Eastern District of California and for the Honorable Thomas L. Ambro on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Nilam Sanghvi
Managing Attorney for Intake and Case Evaluation
Meghan joined the Project as Managing Attorney for Intake and Case Evaluation in 2026. In this role, Meghan is responsible for supervising intake for all case submissions, assessing innocence claims, supervising law student and undergraduate interns, and fostering partnerships with law firms to streamline pro bono efforts. Before joining the Project, Meghan was an Assistant Deputy Public Defender in New Jersey.
Meghan graduated from Salisbury University with a B.A. in Psychology and received her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law. Meghan gained diverse internship experience while in law school. This includes interning for the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office, Federal Community Defender for the Eastern District of PA, Defender Association of Philadelphia, Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania, and proudly choosing to intern twice for the PA Innocence Project.
Meghan is deeply passionate about criminal defense. She is eager to do her part in discovering innocence claims, humanizing incarcerated individuals, and expanding the population of those who understand more fully how wrongful convictions and unfair trials occur in our system.
Meghan Teal
Development Coordinator
Kelsey joined our development team in 2025. Since starting, they have been able to enhance our processing systems and donor relationships by using their widespread knowledge of cultivation, stewardship, and retention. Kelsey earned a B.S. in Sociology from Montana State University. From there, Kelsey went on to lead a nearly two-decade long journey of advancing progressive missions using a social justice framework. This includes being the State Strategy Coordinator for SIECUS: Sex Ed for Social Change and the Public Policy Associate for the Religious Community for Reproductive Choice. Kelsey’s career is also rooted in the education of others – they worked as an Online Workshop Instructor for Rutgers University and proudly co-founded Trans-Affirming Training & Consulting, where they are also the VP of Client Services. Kelsey is excited to continue expanding their knowledge and experience to include wrongful convictions, systems change prevention, and transition to freedom support.

Communications and Development Associate
Jamilah joined the Project in 2023 and assists in all Communications and Development efforts. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and had double minors in Business Law and Youth Empowerment Studies. Jamilah's personal interests afforded her many opportunities to spend time volunteering and obtaining leadership roles advocating for marginalized groups. Prior to joining the Project, Jamilah was a policy and public relations intern for a professional development program where she worked closely on public interest and social justice projects.
